Call for Papers - EE&AE 2020

The Organization Committee is pleased to invite you to the "2020 7th International Conference on Energy Efficiency and Agricultural Engineering (EE&AE)", which will take place in Ruse, Bulgaria on 11-13 June, 2020. The proceedings of the conference will be indexed in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, Scopus and Web of Science.

The deadline for the full paper submission is 9th of February, 2020.

More information is available at the website of the conference:

Looking forward to see You in Ruse.

New labs

Two new labs have been created:

  • A lab in Digital logic design for investigation of BCD to 7-segment decoder;
  • A lab for investigation of the capacitance dependency on the physical properties of a capacitor.

New project

In March 2019 was started the second phase of the project - "Development of methods and tools for adapting the engineering education to Industry 4.0". The contract number is 2019-RU-02, which is also financed under the University of Ruse Research Fund. The new project is aimed at the development of an automated system for design of virtual laboratories, as well as the creation of numerous virtual labs for different courses.

New virtual lab

A new virtual lab has been created, developed for the course Digital Logic Design, which is studied by students of the Computer systems and technologies specialty. The virtual model contains the following logic gates and combinational logic:

  • 4 "AND";
  • 4 "OR";
  • 4 "NAND";
  • 4 "NOR";
  • 6 "NOT";
  • 1 "3 to 8 decoder";
  • 1 "8 to 1 multiplexer".

New virtual labs

According to the project plan, 3D models of basic electrical engineering equipment were created. Some of the models were then used to implement the following virtual equipment:
  • DC power supply HY3005;
  • Multimeter KT9808;
  • A small breadboard;
  • 5W resistor;
  • Ceramic capacitor.
More virtual equipment is coming soon.

Using the available virtual equipment were created two virtual labs:
  • A lab for investigation of the basic laws in electrical engineering;
  • A lab for investigation of resistors connected in series, parallel and mixed.
We are currently working on two more labs:
  • A lab for investigation of capacitors and measuring of capacitance;
  • A lab for investigation of two-port networks.
All instructions related to the labs are available in English and Bulgarian languages and are accessible under the "Virtual Labs" menu.
