Investigation of resistors in series and parallel

The goal of this lab is to investigate the equivalent resistance of resistors, connected in series and parallel.

Lab equipment: R1=4kΩ; R2=8kΩ; R3=10kΩ; R4=40kΩ; KT9808 multimeter.

Tasks 1. Measure the resistance of each resistor independently.

Hint: Switch the multimeter to an appropriate range.

Task 2. Connect R1 and R2 in series and measure their equivalent resistance. Obtain the same result analytically.

Task 3. Connect R1, R2 and R3 in series and measure their equivalent resistance. Obtain the same result analytically.

Task 4. Connect R1, R2, R3 and R4 in series and measure their equivalent resistance. Obtain the same result analytically.

Task 5. Connect R1 and R2 in parallel and measure their equivalent resistance. Obtain the same result analytically.

Task 6. Connect R1, R2 and R3 in parallel and measure their equivalent resistance. Obtain the same result analytically.

Task 7. Connect R1, R2, R3 and R4 in parallel and measure their equivalent resistance. Obtain the same result analytically.

Task 8. Connect the circuit from the figure below and measure the equivalent resistance. Obtain the same result analytically.
